Our founder, Yunho Lee, once faced a serious liver condition that left him searching for hope. When he discovered the remarkable restorative power of the aloe plant, he experienced firsthand how deeply nature can renew and restore the human body. That transformative experience sparked a mission that became larger than one person — a lifelong commitment to sharing the benefits of nature with humanity.
From that conviction, Namyang Aloe was born — Korea’s first company dedicated to studying and cultivating aloe. What began in a small greenhouse soon grew into one of the world’s largest aloe farms, built on the belief that business should not only prosper, but also serve humankind.
Mr. Lee’s conviction that true progress must create both economic and human value — what he called a “virtuous cycle of good” — became the philosophical foundation of ECONET, a global network uniting science, agriculture, and wellness to create a better world. Through decades of research and innovation, Univera has carried that vision forward — studying nature with scientific rigor, developing patented bioactive compounds through Unigen (U.S.), and delivering natural wellness solutions trusted by people around the world. That question inspired a decades-long scientific exploration. Through continuous research and innovation, Univera and its sister company Unigen expanded their focus beyond aloe, studying thousands of plant species to uncover nature’s most potent bioactive compounds.
